Rome

We got back for our first full day in Rome.  Everything went great today.  We had a chance to see the Roman Forum and the coloseum.  It is amazing the amount of energy that comes from there.  It was very powerful.  After lunch we toured 3 different Basillicas.  St Mary Major, St. John Lateren, and St Paul outside the wall.  While at Mary Major we saw parts of the wood from Christs manger.  At St. Paul we celebrated mass and then saw St Pauls Sarcophogus.  Lining the walls just below the ceiling were Mosaics of all of the Popes starting with St Peter and continuing on to our current Pope Benedict.

We are very thankful to everybody wo supported our kids to get them here for this pilgrimage.  They are experiencing something that few people get to do in a lifetime.

I will post pictures later on this evening.  The batteries on my camera have died.  As soon as I replace them I will get more pics up.

Marni will post another blog later it was a very hot day today she and a lot of the kids are in their rooms recovering.
